Use this section of the FLEX App to predict your 1RM across the squat, deadlift and bench press. We use algorithms based from your profile to determine set loads. Alternately, if a 1RM has been entered in the profile settings, FLEX uses this to prescribe the loads.
A predictive 1RM test determines the maximal load an athlete can perform for 1 repetition.
How to start:
Select the TEST 1RMp from the main menu
If no 1RMs have been entered in the athletes profile, this section will read "0"
If there have been previous 1RMs either entered or predicted then these will be displayed.
Select the exercise that you wish to test.
Once you select the exercise, FLEX calculates the prescribed loads. Follow the prompts to continue with the protocol.
The key to a successful prediction is to aim to move the bar as fast as possible whilst maintaining proper form.
After any set, you have the option to re-do the set if you feel that it wasn't your best effort.
Once the test is complete, FLEX will give you the option to save this as your new 1RM.
